Great choice. I have always previously purchased the standard closed front toilet seats. Never again. I recently moved into a rental. I previously had the tall elongated toilets which were adequate for my size. However the toilets in the rental are the regular short ones with closed front seats and were proving to be a bit of challenge for self maintenance. With the open front, self maintenance is sooo much easier. Hinges are Bemis solid, unlike other name brands. I would have preferred the wooden one, but they seem to be in short supply currently. I understand why now.

Every woman needs this because for some reason its thought to be a mans bathroom seat it was designed for women and hygiene. Do your research ans stay clean and comfortable without the hassle of touching a rim with your privates.

The Bemis White "Open Frnt" Seat
This proved to be a good seat for the low price. I had a plastic seat, for a few years, and I saw this. I liked the "open front" concept, (That's what sold me) It has been fine, really strurdy, better than the previous seat. Comfortable, too.

Ahh relief!
A nice way to sit comfortable without having to reshuffle yourself to prevent peeing on the floor! lol. this is the big guy's seat for Standard size toilets. And it works well. No replacement for a Elongated size toilet but hey it does provide relief.

Open Front is Best!
I should have purchased an open front seat years ago. I suddenly have space where most needed! Now, a closed front seat on a small round toilet, just seems backward and primitive. Anyone with a standard round toilet and a closed front seat should look into getting this seat. Also seems a good option for anyone replacing an open front seat as well. The price is so reasonable on this particular seat, it is worth the time to give it a go. Sure, it is not super heavy duty. Still, I find it stable. (Doesn't slide back and forth like my old standard seat did.) It's comfortable as well. Just don't expect a thick and heavy seat for this price. A benefit though, is a light seat won't wake up the whole house when we lazy types just let gravity drop the seat! One negative was the shipping. (Sold by Amazon). They just put a shipping label on the retail box. It was a mess upon arrival. All ripped and open in spots. I was lucky the seat wasn't damaged, but it did require cleaning as there were some marks.

Best seat in the house!
This toilet seat was purchased as a replacement seat for our leased town home. My husband saw this and knew he had to have it. When this beauty arrived, I thought whoa... this was a bit institutional looking. i never realized how hot this commode seat would look in our guest bathroom. It is plenty comfortable for extended stays. Nothing says OCD better than a perfectly cleaned bathroom with this particular toilet seat. Our land lord and guests are going to love it.

i live in an apartment so anything i do is theirs so i bought the least expensive one i could find as well as ez to install-to add i am 5'7" 255# - at least 1 guest thought enough of it to comment after using it-at $9-$14 SHIPPED NO LESS, was going to say "it rocks"lol but THAT'S NOT A COMPLIMENT TO A TOILET SEAT -So lets just say it is awesome

SOOO all you bigger Fellas that are suck trying to take a dump on a little toilet.... THIS is the answer that you may not have even known you needed! Ever sat on a toilet and had a hard time getting your man meat tucked into the toilet and had the circulation cut off from your fingers! Oh damn this is the cover you buy to prevent that! It has a gap in the front to give you the extra room you need! WHY doesn't Walmart or Menard's sell this... I would pay double! Instead Amazon gets my money ;p.

A must have item!
If you're a guy, have a properly working round toilet that you don't want to replace with an elongated toilet just for the comfort aspect, then you need to buy this open front toilet seat. As stated by a previous reviewer, this seat has a little flex to it, but it isn't a problem. Seat is plenty sturdy and definitely more comfortable than a closed front seat.

What praise can I lavish upon the Beemis 75 000? What could I possibly say that has not already been discussed at length by scholars who are much more wise than I? This is a solid piece of equipment that can take whatever you have to dish out but it DOES NOT make a good Frisbee. Once you've had the opportunity to take this baby for a ride I think you will agree that it only wishes to cradle you and would never bite. I gave it 5 stars but we all know it deserves more.
