Why pay twice as much for something else?
I bought this about a year ago, with low expectations. I was in a budget crunch but needed a way to circulate air from one room to the other. Expecting it to be a short term fix, I picked this up. Despite a slight rattle that was handled with 2 pieces of tape, this fan has as much kick as fans that are 2-3 times the price. I thought the plastic build would fail after a few months, but it's been well over a year and still working like when I bought it. Worked so well I just ordered a new one.

super quiet and super efficient!
Just finished setting this up in the 2x4 vivosun grow tent to suck in fresh air and it's super quiet. Built very well and looks nice too in black. Was looking at a aluminum duct fan but those are super loud. Glad i went with this one for sure. A++

Low noise, more than enough for 50 cu.ft or maybe 75 cu.ft
Area: 48 cu.ft Duct: 6" about 2-3 ft length and one 90 degree turn Prior to this, i had ipower 6 inch duct fan which is made of metal. It worked great for about 6 month then started making rattling/clicky noise like it's off balance. It sounded like an airplane anyway. To be fair it was overpowered for my setup even with fan speed controller. Downgraded to this and just deployeed today. Very light weight and creating neg pressor in my tent. It makes such low noise, it sounds no louder than a electric consumer house fan. I should have went with this from the start. I can't speak for the longevity as i only had it for a day.

Sucks.. Or blows, depending on which way you hook it up. Which is all I can ask for... It is pretty loud, wouldn't want this permanently hooked up to my HVAC or similar, but for what I need it for (venting fumes from laser), it's fine.

So quiet and powerful !
This is my most quiet duct booster fan in my collection and it puts out more air than my 6 inch fans. Very sturdy design! Comes with a mounting plate although additional brackets or bolts/screws would be helpful to secure fan with everything found in package. Other than that small bit of constructive criticism I find this to be another winner from Vivosun!

Not too shabby
When I got my fan I plug it in to make sure it worked, it started right up but noticed it did have a rattle to it as it sat on counter. However, when I mounted it in tent i layed a 2x8 shelf across top of cross bars in tent, and screwed fan on shelf. Top of tent keeps shelf snug in place on bars. Ran duct out of top of tent to filter that stands upright next to tent. My motor dont rattle, my tent air is fresh, never gets hotter than room it sits in. Dont over think it, keep it simple, dont waste your interior space. If anything goes wrong with fan I will just contact customer service. Oh, mounted right its no louder than a box fan, keeps the air flow flowing.

surprisingly great product!
I had the 6 inch metal inline vivosun start acting up on me and I needed a quick cheap replacement so I gave this one a shot. It came in well packaged and thats when I realized it was plastic...lol...made me question its reliability...it comes apart easily but has a notch that kinda slots the 2 parts together...put a piece of tape to hold it secure! I powered it up and WOW!!! VERY quiet and moves air better than the 6 inch?!!!! It's only been a week but all is working great and I will say this was a great buy!!!

Rigged up to cure night sweats.
I suffer from severe night sweats and wanted an "under the sheets" fan that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. This little fan sits under my bed. I've attached an aluminum dryer vent tube to it which runs up between the bedframe and mattress and then under the mattress pad so that it comes out at my feet. This little bugger moves a LOT of wind, so I've had to cut a few holes in the tube so that I'm not getting the full force. And it's a little bit louder than I'd like, but I'm getting used to it. I don't sweat with this thing on.

Running silent and strong 3 months 24/7!
After reading all the reviews I have to say, I am 100% satisfied with this product all AROUND. ITS AT LEAST 3 TO 5 TIMES MORE POWERFUL THEN MY METAL 6INCH FAN AND I CAN BARELY EVEN HEAR IT,ITS SO QUIET AND ITS 4 FEET FROM WHERE I SIT AND ITS ON THE ITS ALMOST 3RD MONTH OF CONTINUOUS 24/7 USE. SO I CAN'T SEE THE ISSUE. PEOPLE EXPECT A $100 FAN FOR $30. THIS THING BLOWS! AND THATS GREAT FOR A FAN-BOOSTER!

Nice little fan!
It's a great fan. She's done a lot for my tent even though she's too small, which is my fault as I should of gotten a 6 or 8 inch one. Very sleek looking and quiet. I like the vivosun products very much so. Will purchase them in the future.
