You guys, Carhartt ain't lying. They say "tall", they mean "tall"... I usually go for Tall shirts, but this thing is a dress on me. I've been washing it with hot water and drying in a hot dryer. It's shrank some, but it's still pretty long. Good news is, if you tuck it in, it's not coming out. Regardless, I still love this shirt. Excellent materials. Very comfortable. But if you're about 6'2" like me and usually like a Tall size shirt, Try the regular size first. It may be right. This thing would be perfect for someone 6'5" or taller.
I never thought I'd ever write a review for a shirt (I mean really what's the big deal) BUT this is one of the best shirts I've ever bought, it's all around a perfect fit, and just enough extra heft to it to keep me warm on cool and wet days at work. Unlike your run of the mill cheap T shirts at the mall stores I don't have to spend my day pulling the shirt down below my belt, and the sleeves fit just the way I like them to.I'm making dang sure I wash them myself so I don't have to worry about them getting messed up. Thats right I said "them" because I'm going to order a bunch more for myself and for gifts.
These shirts are the only ones my husband will wear to work. He has 1 in every color. Short sleeve and long. Only because he said every time he finds something he likes it gets discontinued. :-) They are 100% durable. Heavy weight cotton. The long tail will stay tucked in as well. They will go through many washes and never fade or shrink If you wash them in cold. I dry them part way then I hang them to air dry the rest of the way.
I'm 6'7" and about 250 pounds so finding a shirt that fits is a challenge. My arms are long and most tall sizes are too short. I have been getting extra tall from JCPenny but they don't sell them anymore. I thought I'd give this a shot based on Amazon's return policy but I don't need to send it back. I bought the XL Tall and the sleeves are a little long on me and in the body it gives enough length to where I don't worry about it riding up when I reach over my head. You have no idea how rare this is. When they say generously cut or runs big they do mean it. If you're a hipster Banana Republic model with form-fitting preferences this isn't your shirt. If you're a guy who gets work done this is your shirt. Room to move, sturdy, and thick fabric it's built well. I plan to buy a few more. I haven't washed and dried it yet so I'm not sure if it will shrink much.
I am so happy with these shirts. I love mens shirts, they are so much more comfortable then womens in my opinion (because they are longer as well as the sleeves). I am 5'5 and the shirt goes all the way to my upper thigh if I pull it down but I wear it on my hips and the shirt stays put. I stay between 145-150 pounds and the small fits me perfect. The small is roomy but doesn't look huge or bulky. I have a DDD chest and the shirt comfortably fits and is not tight at all on my chest. The length of the sleeves are great. Nice and long but sits at my wrists so they never slide over my hand. Carhartt is such good quality that it is absolutely worth $20 a shirt. They definitely run big so I would recommend going down one size unless you want it bigger. I normally wear a mens medium but a medium in this shirt would definitely be too big. My husband is an XL in most shirts and is a Large in these shirts (he is 6'2 and 200 lbs) sleeves are perfect length on him and the shirt goes past the belt line. Highly recommend. Makes a great work shirt or everyday shirt 👍
My husband and I have tried every long sleeve tshirt on the market that there is. We have found a couple that are okay but after a couple of washings do not hold their shape. We purchased Carhartt because we know that by spending just a little more, we have shirts that will last longer than one season. I will purchase more. I like the durability of these shirts. Lord knows that my husband is rough on clothes. I strongly suggest them even if they are for more dress than work.
My husband is a worker, and these are his favorite tees. Whether tackling a project around our house, tending to repairs and animals at our barn, cleaning/butchering his hunting prizes, or cooking for the crew, he turns to these Carhartt Workwear pocket tees. He has no respect for namby-pamby wimpy t-shirts that don't hold up to the abuse he routinely dishes out, which is major. He loves Carhartt wear because of the thickness; they hold up really well. We put them in the wash covered with all sorts of manly detritus and pull them out of the dryer looking just slightly worse for wear. His nubbly beard shreds lesser t-shirt collars, but Carhartt Workwear tees hold up better than most. And he insists on pocket tees; the pocket on these tees is large enough to hold his iPhone in its indestructible case and not fall out every time he bends over. They are worker-tested; worker-approved.
This shirt is made from a very soft material that feels smooth against your skin. While the material is a heavy weight, it is not binding because of a generous cut. The body of the shirt is extra long that stays tucked in through a full day of many different body movements. The chest pocket is larger than a standard t-shirt pocket. I have quite long arms, these sleeves are a great length for me.
was looking for that XL size that wont fit too tight ( dont want hubby to look like whinne the phoo ) this shirt has a good flow fit. its long enough to not pull up, sleeves are good. fits well with out those tight areas. I washed it in a hot load to check for shrinkage, and it came out fine. Hubby says its so comfy and he enjoys it, i can pick out more. an over tight shirt looks bad, this fits at the shoulders so its not over sized and tent looking but then hangs nicely to not accentuate a" bit of" a belly. he loves the comfort and wears it a lot. I like that its held up in a hot water washing. I bought the burgundy color, its very nice. as always, i do update my reviews in time to let you know how well the product holds the test of time and use. so check back.
